SERP And Keyword Traffic Tips
Here are some tips from me to increase your search engine ranking positions as well as some unorthodox method to gain traffic for certain keywords.
Post Early
Posting early about a certain event can easily get you into the top postions of the search engines. For e.g. if you have a technology blog, posting about the recent Microsoft Surface could easily get you into top positions for some keywords (even if your blog does not fare well in links) if you are lucky. From my observation, search engines like Google definitely take date of posting into consideration (although not entirely) so try to make full use of this. Sometimes I would go to Google Trends for hot keywords and then blog about them and I do get significant traffic for some of these keywords.
Steal High Traffic Keywords Data From Other Bloggers
It is not easy to find high traffic keywords with little competition and sometimes you can leech this data from other bloggers from their recent comments or most popular posts. These are the posts that yield the most traffic and you can study these or even compete with them by blogging about those keywords as well. Confirm that the traffic is worth venturing by studying it in Google Trends. One of the keywords that I have leeched was ’scary maze’ which is still a good performing keyword up to today. There are still many high traffic keyword with little competition out there so make full use of this tip.
Comments are Great Content
A recent keyword of mine ‘chris angel’ has seen an increment of traffic up to 100% after a lot of people post comments on it. After that I had been scoring a lot of traffic from combination keywords such as ‘chris angel fake’, ‘chris angel antichris’ and many others. Always make your comment section easy for other guys to post comments or perhaps bait your readers to actually comment by posting controversial or great ideas.
That’s all for the tips and do give me feedback so that I can give more great tips next time.
